With COVID-19 testing now available for anyone with at least one symptom or concerns of exposure, you may have had a test done recently. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has released a resource called, “Tested! Now What?” to help you understand the next steps to take.
This resource explains what to do while you wait for your test results (based on the reason why you were tested), what to do if your test is negative, and what to do if your test is positive. It also includes follow-up instructions on:
- Self-care while isolating
- More about COVID-19
- How to get your test results
- What does a negative test mean?
- Can the test determine if I had COVID-19 in the past (but not now)?
Head to the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit’s Tested! Now What? resource for the full instructions.
