South Georgian Bay Food Champions

The South Georgian Bay Food Champions is a group of individuals, organizations and businesses working together to explore our community’s food needs, and to promote the development of a “good food” community.

The Town of Wasaga Beach Age-Friendly Community for Seniors

The Age-Friendly Advisory Committee has assisted and guided the evaluation of Wasaga Beach’s aging population and in the development of an action plan to address the identified needs. The Committee provides advice and recommendations to Town staff, the Healthy Community Network, and Town Council concerning opportunities to make Wasaga Beach a more age-friendly community.

Simcoe County Alliance to End Homelessness

Simcoe County Alliance to End Homelessness (SCATEH) is a local movement to prevent and end homelessness in Simcoe County. We do this through coordinated strategies, advocacy, and awareness.

Town of Wasaga Beach Healthy Community Network

The Healthy Community Network acts as a link between Council and the citizens of Wasaga Beach and advises Council on matters relating to active and healthy living, the environment – natural, physical, social, economic – and the creation of a sustainable and healthy future for the town.

Naloxone Kit Program

In partnership with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, the South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre’s staff have been trained to provide free Naloxone Kits to clients in need, and their friends and family.

Georgian Good Food Box

The Georgian Good Food Box (GGFB) is a non-profit organization that purchases fresh fruits and vegetables for monthly distribution in Southern Georgian Bay.
